POETIC ENCOUNTER

Ran into a poet at a Bardbuck’s
the other day –
“Can you spare a rhyme?”,
he asked…
“I haven’t versed in
three days…”

I looked in my wallet,
had two haikus & a limerick –
“Sorry you’re lacking words,
my friend, but it’s good to remember,
if it rhymes, there’d better be a reason!”
