THE SHADOW MAKER
I make shadows for a living.
Business is usually good,
except on cloudy days.
Long shadows are my specialty,
also broken-heart-shaped shadows
& their companions,
silhouettes of lost loves.
I offer a line of twilight shadows,
have to work fast on those
before they blend
into the night…
I have a special this week
on generic shadows,
buy one & a second one
will follow you around
for life.
I’m everywhere,
will go anywhere,
I covered the entire country once,
on a day in November, 1963.
