-A knight of square tables,
I stand in front of the statue.

-The inscription reads:
“In memory of Zig Zaggerman,
renown creditor,
slain in Central Park
by his enraged former banker.”

-I stand at attention & salute…
“Nothing I can do,
I’m but a tadpole
in this metamorphositorium…
good thermo-nuclear morning to you.”

-Fifty steps away, I look back…
where the statue stood
there’s now a parking meter
flashing “VIOLATION.”
