AFTERTHOUGHTS

After she left,
among stale vows
& cigarette butts,
I found a copper penny…
more than enough
for my thoughts…

After my death,
burn three candles,
one to poetry,
one to love,
one to light up…

After my dream came true
I couldn’t go back to sleep…

After the nuclear holocaust,
we’ll travel down
the uranium brick road…

After thirty-eight years,
five months and two days,
thirty-eight years,
five months and three days…

After losing her
I cried & cried…
miss her chili con carne!
