DEIRDRE O’DONOGHUE – 1948/2001

(back in the ’90s I never missed “Breakfast with
the Beatles” every Sunday on FM, hosted by Deirdre
O’Donoghue. I sent her a poem about the Beatles &
she read it on the air… which was a major thrill;
she was around 50 when she died unexpectedly.
A great loss.)

-Deirdre O’Donoghue
& Beatles songs…
what a joyful
Sunday morning!

-She would serve us breakfast,
having reserved our seats
between George, John,
Paul & Ringo’s…

-Beautiful musical sounds,
and the voice
of a delightful Lady…

-She was Eleanor Rigby,
Lovely Rita,
one of the shiniest diamonds
of Lucy in the Sky…

-“Me & you & us
& we’re all together…

-“I’m crying…”

-How do you fall in love
with a voice?

-It was easy!
