– Once upon a time
in a land far away,
there lived a mouse.
– Unbeknownst…
(that word has nothing to do with
the story; I’ve always wanted to use it.)
– Yes, boys & girls, a mouse,
and his name was Ratoncito Pérez,,,
but this was no ordinary mouse:
he could sing duet with a cat,
& spoke seven languages, including Swahili.
– Well, friends, to make a short story
even shorter, Ratoncito died in a tragic accident,
crushed to death by the “I” tome
of the Encyclopedia Britannica,
which he was using to look up the meaning of the word,
“Improbable.”
